The story behind Beyoncé' s Fela Kuti inspired album revealed

If you can remember, sometime ago, Beyonce released 4, she recorded a whole album that was inspired by singer - late Fela Kuti that was never unveiled but inspired another single, confirmed The-Dream.

The person behind Queen Bry’s hit single “Single Ladies” shared the tale in a Genius.com blog about “End of Time.” He stated that they did a whole Fela album which did not go up. It was just before they did 4. They did a whole different sounding thing, around twenty songs. She said she wanted to do something that sounds like Fela. That is why there is so much of that sound in the 'End of Time.'

A whole album inspired by the Afrobeat pioneer is one of many of her projects that they have not heard. The-Dream added that there are always several albums being made. Most of the time they were just being creative, period. The were talking about B, somebody who sings all day long and somebody who writes all day long. There are probably a hundred records just sitting around.

The Houston native sees inspiration around the world. Apart from collaborations with Aussie singer/songwriter Sia, Beyonce called on Mozambican dance trio Tofo Tofo for Who Run the World (Girls) music video. In fact, she also features a speech on feminism from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the Nigerian author, on the single “Flawless."
